I signed up awhile ago on Renee's blog to do her Christmas Sew Along. So far I am lagging behind a wee bit. Ahem. The first month we were challenged to make a purse. Have I mentioned before (a time or twenty) that my sewing skills are less than perfect? But, that is not going to stop me! Here is my bag/purse I finally finished. It is pretty good sized. It has some fun details like a little pocket on the front and some button love. I even have a coordinating lining on the inside. Fancy!! I did have some help from my sweet friend Kathy...the sewing whiz. She always gently guides me in the right direction and helps me fix my mistakes. Right Kath? :) That rick-rack was a booger for me. Aye Aye Aye.....
Here is the book where I found my pattern. Hobby Lobby 40% coupon. Gotta love that!
And, like I said before. I never know what I will find when I turn on my camera. Apparently this bag may also be used for a kitty carrying pouch. In case you are in need of one.

Oh how cute!! I adore rick rack and I love the fabrics you used! :o) What a cute little kitty carrier you have there! Very versatile. :o)
It came out wonderful! I have that book, I will have to look at it again with fresh eyes.
I love your bag....I need to learn how to sew. Cute area where you sew, too. :)
I want one!!! Minus the fur-ball, got my own. :)
Did you say you have a "little behind" --sorry I know it was too easy, miss ya :)
