I have been reading ladies blogs who say they are savoring the last remaining days of summer. They are sorry to see summer go. I am not one of those ladies. I am a fall girl. I got married in the fall. I had a baby in the fall. I love the colors of fall. I love the smells of fall. I love all the foods we eat in the fall. Like stews, soups, apple crisps and hot cocoa. I love wearing sweaters. I love wearing jeans. I love wearing my leather Mary Jane shoes. :) I love gloves and sweatshirts. I love having my nose get cold when I am outside. I love raking leaves. I love colorful mums. I love going to the pumpkin patch. I love the routine and grove we have as a family in the fall. My girls are ready for school to start again as well. They still have a couple more weeks to wait.
So, I am a Fall girl. I can feel it in the air. I know it is coming. And, I am ready.

Woooo...all of you fall gals....not me! I am not a fall girl because I see it as a harbinger of winter and I am definitely not a winter girl.
The colors are pretty and I remember really special days with my Grama, raking and burning leaves...the smell was awesome. There are some good things about the season to enjoy and so enjoy it I will. :)
Autumn is particularly anticipated when the summer has been hot and long. I love the crisp mornings and the residue of warmth through the days. In Summer though I love the long days and the early mornings, bright and clear and going out at night when the day has cooled but it is still warm and the stars are friendly. Each season has something to look forward to!
AMEN!!!! Fall girls unite! It is so stinkin' hot...I'm dreaming of fall/winter/igloos/polar ice caps/frost bite/freezer burn....anything cold!
